The David Mehre Quartet plays swing music witch happy character immediately animates to happiness and a sense of well-being.
With a few exceptions all pieces were written by David.
They are marked by catchy melodies with bright character.
Together with the trumpeter Christoph Braun, bassist Eduardo Sabella and drummer Johannes Lüttgen accompolishes the band
to bring the feeling of the compositions to the stage and to transfer it to the audience to create an comfortable atmosphere.

David gained a special aproach to bluegrass during his two years travels around the world. He lived the live of a rambler while hitchhiking from Europe to Asia. He spend many hours along the highways playing fiddle tunes and traditionals. That way David could develope a big bluegrass repertoire.

music for his quartet, with whome he played among others at the jazz festival Bingen Swingt. In 2016 he won the second price the
8. Europäischen Burghauser Nachwuchs-Jazzpreis as part of JF May & Band. 2016 David left Germany for a two years travel,
hitchhiking from Europe to Asia. On the journey he played concerts i.a. in China, Australia and Japan.
On request David teaches guitar for beginners and advanced in Mainz.
He also composes jingles and sets music to (promotion-/trailer-)videos (e.g. Utopival Trailer).
